Hotel located near to Kyoto and Kujo stations. I liked the style of the room (Japanese feel but with actual mattresses rather than futons which I find uncomfortable). Also very clean. Relaxed atmosphere and a nice rooftop area as well as games and toys for children. The owner went out of his way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. He gave us lots of recommendations and booked activities for us when we had trouble booking on a Japanese website. I would highly recommend and stay again should I return to Kyoto.

The room was so spacious (quite rare in Japan), clean and the beds were comfortable. Location was amazing too. Only few stops away from Fushimi Inari shrine, GION street, and walking distance from the river, supermarket and famous public bathhouse Umeyu. The receptionist was so kind and helped us figure out which routes to take, which area to go for restaurants etc. For the price, the room and service was above and beyond what I had expected! Will definitely stay here again when o visit Kyoto!

Hotel right behind Kyoto main train station. You can walk it there by using the basement shopping mall streets. It brings you out next to the hotel's entrance. We upgraded to the 'top floor Suprior' room, which gives you a nice view of the city with its own private entrance lobby. You get unlimited complimentary hot/cold non-alcoholic drinks including a Costa Coffee machine and Nepresso coffee machines/coffee capsules available to take to your room to use.

This was a wonderful hotel very close to the Kyoto train station. It had a cool vibe with stone walls and boulders to sit on in the lobby. The room was so clean and the bed so comfortable. It was spacious by Japanese room standards. The breakfast was a choice from a pre-set menu and it was delicious. I also walked to the old town and downtown, which was about 25 minutes on foot, but they also had bikes to use if you prefer. I highly recommend for ease of access to the train station.

Travelers rave about the Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kyoto Ekimae PREMIER for its exceptionally clean rooms and its prime location. The hotel gets high marks for cleanliness, with guests mentioning fresh and tidy rooms. Location-wise, it's hard to top the Daiwa Roynet. It's directly connected to Kyoto Station by an underpass, just a 4-minute walk, which makes exploring Kyoto easy. Plus, iconic sights like Kyoto Tower and famous temples are all within walking distance.

We loved our stay here. The front desk was always very warm and friendly. The lounge in the second floor which is included is great. At this price point, can’t be beat. This hotel compares to hotels in the $500-$700CAD range and is a fraction of the price. Rooms are very comfortable, very modern but keep that Japanese feeling. If you are in Kyoto, this is a must stay. Location is also great as it is only a short walk to many activities.

Location was perfect, a walking distance to the main Kyoto train station which is the hub for the bullet trains and haruka train to outskirts from Kyoto. Hotel offered daily complimentary drinks and we enjoyed the bubbles there. As for the restaurant VERY affordable restaurant in my entire Japan visit and the food was equally delicious and enough. The room was surprisingly specious enough compared to Tokyo rooms with a nice balcony

I loved how the apartment was a typical Japanese apartment. We had a wonderful experience being able to experience that for ourselves. The apartment was extremely close to a train station so that made it really convenient. It was nice and peaceful. The rooms were very spacious. The living room was exceptional complete with a huge TV. I would definitely want to repeat here should I find myself in Kyoto again in the future.

Kyoto Station’s multiple exits were confusing, but once you get familiar with the area, the walk to the station is within 10 minutes (crossing only 1 main street). There is a 24h Japanese fast food chain (Nakau) right next to the hotel, and a family mart nearby. The room (we stayed the Bunk Bed option) is small but cleverly designed to save space and is very clean. Bed and pillows are soft and comfortable.

Hotel Material was a great choice for our family vacation in Kyoto. Very cozy and clean, great staff and location. The only thing that we wished they had was maid service. We don’t know that they didn’t have this which was a surprise. You also have to request clean towels if you wanted them which is something I didn’t want to have to worry about while on vacation. Over all I would stay there again!

Ostay Kyoto West Hotel apt is ideally located.10 minutes walking from Kyoto station. It is a cosy apartment with views of the Bullet Train tracks. The best thing is that it has a comfortable bed, washing machine, microwave, A/C, cooking facilities, and electronic lock. The host allowed an extra hour to check out at no extra cost. I highly recommend staying at this place when visiting Kyoto.

Okami-san was an amazing and gracious host, she exceeded all of our expectations and provided a comfortable environment for us to enjoy our stay in Kyoto. Her breakfast and willingness to teach us true Japanese culture was amazing. Most of all her commitment to our health and wellbeing during our stay were highlights. I’m grateful to have met her and stayed at her ryokan.

Love the free coffee, sake and amenities offered here. Everyone was so helpful and felt like they wanted to help you. Hotel was located nearby eateries so walking was no problem. Local bars nearby as well as their own. We didn't get a chance since we were always coming back late from the day. I would totally look this location again the next time I'm in Kyoto

Hotel is a 3 minute walk from Kyoto Station. So it was easy to take a bus or train to anywhere. My mom and aunts loved that there are 2 malls nearby (Avanti and Aeon). Rooms were cleaned daily. and we were able to request extra pillows. There's a 7-eleven in the building so we never got hungry. Airport limo bus stops in front of Avanti so it was really convenient.

Right in the center of Kyoto, also in the traditional neighbourhood so you can easily walk out of the hotel exploring various Japanese culture and food. The hotel itself is of strong Japanese style and it’s really clean, bright and spacious. The staff are very welcoming. Also we enjoy the indoor bath there. Defo an amazing place to stay.

Location was very convenient 10 min from Kyoto train station. Hotel is located in very nice neighbourhood, surrounded by traditional Japanese houses. Room was big enough to feel comfortable and spend there couple of days. One of the benefits was laundry option for free. Staff is nice and helpful. Highly recommended!

The stuff was super friendly and helpful. The location was great, you could walk to the "Inner City" pretty quickly. Using Gojo Station you get to Kyoto main Station with just one stop. :) Once we visit Kyoto again we will for sure look forward going to this Hotel again. Also, the Onsen was a big bonus!

Of all the hotels we stayed at during this trip to Japan, the Hotel Wing in Kyoto felt the most like home. There was just a level of comfortability and coziness that the hotel had that was so appreciated. Breakfast was delicious, the staff was so helpful, and the location can't be beat. Hotel has a great location right in front of the train station with several restaraunts in the same building and around it. Hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful. Public bath was a plus. Great value for the money considering how busy Kyoto is for tourists; would definitely stay here again.

Thank you so much for the nice stay. The room was very spacious and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. All the space was clean and furnished really well. Hotel is near train station and bus stop. We can honestly recommend Minn Gion and I’m sure we will reserve room the next time in Kyoto.
